As Founding Partner and Director at POOOL, Alexander brings an international
perspective shaped by his experience working across the United States, Japan,
China and Hong Kong. Born and raised in the United States, he completed
his Master’s in Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design in Boston.
Following his studies, Alexander developed a diverse international career, working in
California, Japan, Shanghai, and Hong Kong with globally acclaimed architectural
practices. His work is driven by a strong commitment to creating architecture that is
innovative, thoughtful, and enduring.
With expertise spanning cultural, commercial, hospitality, residential, and interior
design projects, Alexander approaches each commission as an opportunity to craft
meaningful spatial experiences that respond to both their environment and the people
who inhabit them. His background in leading complex, high-profile international
projects has given him a nuanced understanding of design leadership, interdisciplinary
collaboration, and the integration of technology within the architectural process.
